great atmosphere but noise issues
The communication regarding bike storage was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive despite the busy pub atmosphere.
The noise from the pub made it hard to relax in our room.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed walks through the fells and a lovely stroll across the sandstone ridges. The local food was excellent and the staff were super helpful, providing gluten-free options. The rooms were comfy and warm, ideal after a day out.
The only downside was that the bedroom doors had noisy closers, which could wake you up if others were coming in late.

we had a fantastic stay at the boot! the location is perfect for exploring scafell pike, just a short drive away. the staff went above and beyond by packing lunches for our early walking trip. the room was lovely and clean, making us feel right at home. definitely a highlight was enjoying a cozy meal at the pub nearby—it had one of the best sticky toffee puddings we've had!
the only drawback is that we could only stay for one night!

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
Our stay was pleasant overall, especially the cozy double room with a private bathroom. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, but we faced a hiccup with the Wi-Fi and dining service safety. For better relaxation, choose a less crowded time and request a non-smoking area away from windows.
